Sega’s Japanese employees have a collective wage increase of 30%! The helplessness under inflation

Sega announced that from July 1,2023,the average monthly salary of existing Japanese employees will be increased by about 30%.

However, this is not because the boss has a conscience, but to offset the impact of inflation. In other words,it just keeps the purchasing power the same as before.

In addition,Sega has also included part of the original bonus into the salary category,so the average annual salary increase is only about 15%,which means that the actual purchasing power is also reduced.

In addition, the starting salary of Sega for college graduates will increase from 222000 yen to 300000 yen,up 35%.
